Launch speech by Task Force Chair
At the launch meeting for the PLEAS report on 10th July 2007, the Task Force Chair Professor Hazel Genn spoke about the value of PLE and the need for the strategic development of PLE if it is to maximise the contribution it makes to legal well-being. Hazel said:
" We need an independent PLE Centre that can provide leadership and focus, that can raise the profile of PLE, that can build support, galvanise action, promote and disseminate good practice, initiate and evaluate new projects, and ensure sustained activity and development. This must be a lean, 'can-do' body that can make its mark from day one"
